The hardest time of my life happened right when I started writing Forbidden Road. In parallel, I wrote a fictional blog: diary of a lost witch. I imagined myself living my life (pregnant during lockdown) as a homeless witch, in hiding to escape a vicious coven. Lockdown led to a series of events that left me with a long-term disability. Luckily, I was done writing this blog before that, because it would have been too much…really. And I had to deal with it alone: we were just the two of us, away from family and friends for months. I took the blog and re-wrote it into a book: Magic in the Time of Corona. It’s optimistic and uplifting and I really loved Molly’s courage.
It’s a covid-magical love story and I wrote it in fear, loneliness and hope. It’s not for everyone. Happy ending guaranteed, but still… if you’re interested it’s here:
